Trainer Toolkit

The first release of the Trainer Toolkit comes with two components: IRA Basics curriculum and The Road to Retirement game. 

IRA Basics curriculum includes Participant and Facilitator Guides and a PowerPoint presentation which covers all the essential information when it comes to IRAs including:

• Rules to determine eligibility
• Opening an IRA
• Contribution limits and deadlines
• Tax consequences of a withdrawal and completing the withdrawal form
• Reviewing the forms and deadlines for tax reporting

The Road to Retirement game is an interactive approach to reviewing and applying what the participants learned in IRA Basics through determining eligibility, completing IRA transactions and IRS tax forms.

Additional Modules

The IRA Transfers and Rollovers curriculum includes access to download Participant and Facilitator Guides, the PowerPoint presentation, and a new activity for The Road to Retirement game.  This module covers basic information on these types of contributions including: 

• Rules relating to incoming IRA and employer-sponsored retirement plan funds
• Documenting these contribution types
• Tax reporting for incoming IRA and employer-sponsored retirement plan funds

The IRA Conversions curriculum includes access to download Participant and Facilitator Guides, and the PowerPoint presentation.  This module covers basic information on this type of contribution including: 

• Defining a conversion
• Tax consequences of completing a conversion contribution
• Processing this type of contribution
• Tax reporting of conversions

After purchasing the Trainer Toolkit or a module, download the participant & facilitator guides, PowerPoint and activities using the password(s) you received via mail.
